10" Sub No Room WHICH SUB TO USE

I want to get started on re-building my stereo system (Last one was stolen)

Im planning on mounting the sub like this guy Cardoman enclosed Sub

Are there any other 10" Subs that require very little space OTHER than the JL Audio 10WO or 10W3V2 ? <cant seem to find a good deal on them>

What are your recommendations ?

I've tried doing a search here and on google but havent come up with much

Only can think of JL W6 or W7 off hand but you might try Infinity. On their site you can access box size requirements. Dont know much about them personally but I hear good things

The Kickers require to much box volume. I am VERY limited in space with this install.

Oh yeah your right.... Okay Let me re-phrase that. Whats a CHEAP 10" Sub that will work in a small space.

The Kicker's you metioned are Big Bucks.

Nice looking square Sub.. Didn't know they made subs SQUARE

Yeah it puzzles me some too, I wont even buy a 6x9. Shapes other than round seem to have come into fashion, several companies making them square, course Sony has their Pentagon.... Gotta see if I can find a pic of the old PG plexiglass box, tornado fan (whatever the name was) for sub bass

Oh "cheap" subs ? Does it really even matter then ? haha

heres .02$ .... Thats alot of time, trouble, effort your going to be going through, for a cheap sub.... dontcha think ?

Good Luck Man, wear gloves, long sleeves, and dont get any of that resin in your hair !

Blaupunkt Overdrive (flat sub).

I have a 12 awaiting install into the side of the rear cargo area (hidden of course)

I'll dig up a link to the thread I have going for my upcoming system install.

I don't mean Cheap like a $25 No Name Brand SUB. But $300 bucks for a sub thats exposed to all the eliments, in the back of my open truck, and the abuse I give is a little steap. I can get the JL Audio 10 Inch for around $100 Bucks on ebay. This to me seems reasonable. I was just wondering if there were any other compairable brands out there.

I'll dig up the stats. Those aren't cheap either though.

I buy refurbed Rockford Fosgates for $25 all day on Ebay. They come with a warranty from RF. So far I have bought 4 and NO failures yet.

Go to their Ebay store: http://stores.ebay.com/High-Desert-Audio-Store

oh...well for instance the 10" L7 is going for around $140-$150....dunno what the L5 is going for...the 8" will be cheaper....my buddy's got a single 8" L5 in his double cab tacoma and it hits harder than any round 10" I've heard...but then I'm not a stereo buff but they are good subs...I can't wait to get my 10" L7 in....I'll post pics when I get the box done

Hey just a thought. you might want to check out marine stereo systems. They are designed to be exposed. A guy I know has a pretty nice 10" in his mastercraft and its in a real tight spot. If i were you I would check out some boating stores.

Pioneer makes a narrow sub. Not sure of any specs, just saw one at the stereo shop the other day. Do a search Im sure you'll find something.
