Katemcy Rocks

I think this should be our next run after Barnwell Mtn.

I know that Snoozer has been there. I I was talking to another guy who said that it rocks there.

Anyone else been there??

If it is sometime late July I'm in. I hate that I am missing Barnwell. I want to go so bad but there is no way I could get my breaks done in time. (Unless someone who has done it will come help me out Friday ) Jess and I have decided to take her car on our road trip so now I'm not too worried if I break something on my truck. So who's in?

I;m in for Katemcy but I need some notice. mid to late july works for me.

I just pulled and cleaned my brakes today and reinstalled, man were they mucky with dried sand and mud, I'm surprised they were working.

My question is their requirement for Roll Bar/cages.

Check midway down on the page:

Manditory minimum vehicle requirements to wheel at Katemcy Rocks:
1. properly anchored tow hooks front and rear
2. seat belts for all vehicle occupants
3. a properly anchored roll bar, preferably a roll cage anchored to the frame

Do you guys have one? I don't.

I didn't even pay attention. I was just figuring that everybody else knew the rules.

Schaefer, sells roll bars salvaged from a 1st gen that fit the 3rd gen 4runner, inside the carge area.

I'll pass on that, for one I have a nice speaker/storage box I would have to ditch, also I think that would be more cosmetic than anything. If you were to roll with that onto a rock it would do absolutely nothing for the driver unless you don't wear a seatbelt and happen to get thrown into the back before the roof caves in.
