Yeah, it's about time. Sometimes, we like / or thank the post but don't really want to type too many words and clutter a thread, so a "Like" button is really handy.

The button went from "Thanks" to "Like", and I like it.

I agree, it is nice to click the "Like" button if you want to show that you like the post without having to post something like "cool truck".

Yes, a lot of other forums have had it for years.
Thanks Tech for adding it.

It looks like the "Like" or at the time "Thanks" button was available on this forum some time before I even knew about YotaTech because I saw an old thread on it.

I am glad it was brought back and updated!

I dislike the "LIKE" button.
I liked the "THANK" button.
"THANK" is THANK, "LIKE" is LIKE...two different things. "LIKING" is far less personal than "THANKING".
I would like the "LIKE" button more if there was still a "THANK" button. Can't we have both?

How do I "THANK" someone now?
(i blame Facebook for all this "Liking")
(I don't "LIKE" Facebook, they can suck it.)

Thank you...

Yup, never noticed the like and really don’t ever care to use it.

Wait, I have likes instead of thanks, gross, just gross.

like is Facebook lazy garbage so digital friends you don’t talk to anymore feel better about existing but not ever hanging out in person, thanks is more personal to me...

Eh whatever I guess.

I think the like button is much better than just posting "Nice truck" or "Nice update" on threads where you don't have much else to say, but maybe that is just me.

As far as "Thank" vs "Like", the "Like" button is more universal than "Thanks".

You don't have to use it if you don't want to!

I thought this forum was pretty unique for having the “THANK” button. THANK YOU, when i say it anyway, means you have contributed something substantial and appreciated. LIKE just means you agree. Try going around saying “LIKE” to people instead of “THANK you”.

Can we post polls on this forum?
My question would read “Is there any reason we should have eliminated the “THANK” button?

I think back in the day, you could post a poll on this forum (before I joined in 2013), but not currently.

I believe (and correct me if I am wrong) the parent company of YotaTech, Internet Brands automotive division made the change from thanks to likes. This was probably due to making all of their forums similar or more useful.

I use the "Like" button for both a "like" and a "thanks".

Anyway, I try not to get too wrapped up in the forum changes.

To me, it is the content of the posts that really matter, not so much how many likes or thanks a post gets.

The label of that button should be "Like / and / or / Thanks" and everybody happy!

Wow, you've done a great job of updating such a seemingly unnoticeable button, but still very important. When I was changing some details on my site, I sometimes even changed the avatar vector to express the changes more, and then looking at the dynamics of people's stay on the site, I realized that it was not a waste of work, it brought its own adjustments that gave me a new impetus for development.
