Give us a list of broken things here

We wanna hear what does not work that use to.
We are aware so far of:

1. Can not post smilies, when you mouse over them nothing happens.
2. The home page where the news and "readers rig of the week" is gone.
It has to be rebuilt and uploaded.
3. No more chat, we need to install it later.
4. Tread Lightly link needs to be added to the NAV bar.
5. Search link blinking yellow not working now.

With a major upgrade such as we went through yesternight always comes woes.
Things that use to work no longer do, and it can take a loooooong time to get the shop back in order again.

personally, i like the way the nav bar looks now. The flashing search button is cool though.

I like the way the forum is simple...the way it used to be. I say just bring back the smilies and the chat, and call it quits. Just my .02

i like the nav bar how it is now too, the original setup.

also, i'm not a huge fan of having to click quick reply to be able to start typing in the box...

Well, we need to add some things back to the nav bar.

Something strange for me.
When I click on the quick reply button or multiple quotes, nothing happens.
Using the lastest Firefox.
Have not tested with IE yet.

Edit works, but I just ran into a problem: I posted and went back later to edit-no edit button. I posted another message and the edit button was thier and fine and still is (checked right now).

This thread in question: https://www.yotatech.com/forums/f5/worlds-top-5-most-successful-autos-93897/

If you were in the announcement forum trying to edit, it is turned off.
Not all features are turned on in there.

OK, this is what I am seeing.
With Firefox (yes, I have the newest) I can not add smilies, click on the quote, photo, html, and all the other stuff that is 1" above where I am typing.
I also can not use the multiple quote or quick reply box buttons.
They do nothing.

With Internet Explorer all of those options are available to me with the exception of quick reply and the mulitple quote buttons, they too do nothing.
In my Control Panel I have selected the

Standard editor - extra formatting controls.

Are other Firefox users seeing the same bugs as me?

I am using the latest firefox and can click the smilies and I can use the buttons above the post (picture, quote and such) just fine. Everything else seems to work, pages load pretty quick and I can use everything else.

The only intermittent problem I have as I said before was the edit button not showing up or being able to be used in certain posts.

i think there is some setting for how long after a post you can edit it, cause i know that on custom tacos you cant edit your posts after 24 hours or something like that.

Why yes there is, I just set it this morning to two minutes.
That is why you see it sometimes.

Before the upgrade, it was on two minutes before I think, but that for "show edited by."

I need to go in and fix this, and will later today.
Right now I gotta take a break from my PC.
Been on it all morning long.

But I will fix this later.

Please re-read post # 1 here above.

OK, Testing

Yeah...:bigclap:

I now can post smilies and use the editing buttons above the window here with Firefox.

What I had to do was go to my Control Panel and select a new theme, then set it back.

Now I see another bug.
When I have the CP set to Extreme sizable fonts with border and save it, I can not change it from the lower left drop down menu anymore when I am on a page.
We will get that fixed later.

But for any Firefox users who had the same bug I did listed in this thread by me, do as I described here, that should fix it.
It did for me.

Remember as I have mentioned here, please do not be impatient.
It took years to get the forum the way it was, it will take us a while to rebuild it.
We are fully aware of what is broke.
With any upgrade comes headaches and growing pains.

We will fix it!

Quick Reply has been turned back on, but I am leaving it so you MUST select the button to the far right to activate the quick reply box below.
The box will also tell you to click the button.

The reason?
The admin panal advices us to have it so you have to click the button to activate the quick reply box.
When Quick Reply is enabled, you may specify whether or not users must click the Quick Reply icon in order to start typing in the Quick Reply editor.

If you choose not to require a click, the system will not know to which post a user is replying, making both the threaded and hybrid display modes non-sensical.

We strongly recommend that you set the option to require a click if you use Quick Reply and have Threaded Mode available on your forums.

This is a misnomer. If you are using quick reply without clicking, it is understood you are responding to the last message. Just like the last version.

OK, the Quick Reply box is fixed, no click required!
In fact I am using it now.

Also I just reinstalled a newer version of chat.

https://www.yotatech.com/chat/flashchat.php

It will be awhile before we get it installed in the NAV bar.
