This thread is a biggie since it involves the search engine.

Nothing is listed under my subscribed threads.

If I search my login name, I can find my subscribed threads. If I click on subscribed threads, I get nothing.

Hmmm... this works for me. So, you go "Helpful Links", "Subscribed Threads" and there's nothing there?

And you're sure that you're sub'd to threads? If you go into one of the threads, then click "Thread Tools", does it say "Subscribe" or "Unsubscribe" to the thread?

Subscribed threads

Ya, I tried it clicking - private messages/subscribed threads, i also tried -helpful links/subscribed threads. I still get nothing. I belong to www.alaska4x4network.com which uses the same vbulletin software, and I have had no issues with it.

Okay... I think I know what's happening.

Your default subscription mode is "Do not subscribe", that means that any thread you post in, or even start, you won't be automatically subscribed to. We set it that way as a default to reduce the outbound mail traffic.

You can change this in your CP. So, "User CP", "Edit Options", and "Default Thread Subscription Mode" is in the second panel.

Hope that does it!

By default I have it off for me, I must manually subscribe to a thread.
I just checked mine, it shows 488 from the drop down Helpful Links menu.

Yes, for the last two days in a row our slave server (backup server) shuts down after tis job and does not wake back up.

When you come to the forum you only see you logged in, and any PMs you may have deleted will be back in your inbox.

Each time I had to email our server guy so he could fire back up the slave server, and that takes care of the problem.

Hopefully it will not happen today, Monday morning.

Once the slave comes back on line, your PM inbox will be normal again.

As a member of Wild Yoats, Pirate4X4, IH8MUD.COM, and a bunch of other forums, plus my own (yuma4wheelers.niceboard.com), I have to say this forum is difficult to navigate and read. The forum index looks like everything is at random. It does not seem organized. I had to jump through a couple of hoops to get to the meat of the forums.
