Featured Rig Of The Week

Featured Rig Of The Week
As seen elsewhere on this forum in the Announcements section, we have a home page now, just not activated as of the time of this posting.
It is running kind of slow, we really need a forum software upgrade here, and that would speed things up.
The forums software upgrade will happen one day, I just do not have an ETA right now.
One of the features on it is a "Rig Of The Week" which will showcase a members ride.
For now on it is a pic of a silver FJ Cruiser under my name.
That is just for testing purposes.
I am at a loss right now for ideas on how to pick a members rig each week.
It would be nice if we had some type of software to do this?
Any ideas?
If we had to vote on a rig each week, it would consume to much of our time.
I would rather have some automatic process in place.

There are randomizer programs out there. We just have it pick a number (that correlates to member id number). Probably need to do this with the "active" members group.

I LOVE the idea! This new layout is totally sweet.
Are we going to have just a pic of the rig or click a link to get more pics with words and whatnot.
Like maybe the truck's profile?
Outstanding work guys!

Instead of one per week, how about doing 4-5 per month, similar to how the 4x4 magazines do it.
Some people dont check it every week and may miss out, too.

The pics will be in a folder on this hard drive.
We still need to work out how to pick the rigs, the pixel size (we want them all the same) so many details to work out before it launches.
For now you can enjoy a rig that looks like the one I am getting
Having this new home page is really cool, plus all of the other stuff we have done over the past week such as live chat that uses your member ID, and the nice mud background Cebby put up in a few of the templates.

OK, Wabbit suggested awhile back that I had a virtual FJ somewhere in a thread.
I do now, after putting together goodies for the arrival of my FJ next month.
You can see the virtual FJ on the new homepage we have by clicking on the silver FJ I have under the block Featured Rig.
The Bentup sliderz are looking mighty fine, as well are the rugged factory Toyota All Weather floormats, the carpeted rear cargomat, and the all important CB radio.
