Starter motor as breaker bar
When you can't get that stubborn crankshaft pulley bolt to break loose. Do the following:
Set up your breaker bar and socket on the pulley bolt and brace it against a frame member or on the shop floor. dbl check your set up so that the rotation of the engine and the orientation of your breaker bar will loosen the bolt! DISCONNECT THE COIL WIRE! you do not want the engine to start.
Now check your situation out again so you are sure that when you turn the key on for a millisecond that the engine turning will loosen the bolt.
Clear all bystanders..........bump the key. The bolt should be loose.
Celebrate and enjoy the rest of your wrenching.

also, a pair of pants works (kinda). you tie each of the cuffs so the foot-hole is closed off. then, out of the water, hold them by the waist band and flip them up and then down into the water. the legs should become filled with air. as the legs get straighter, close off the waist with your hands and rest between the legs. i've done it a few times, but only as practice

liquid soap+water in a spray bottle for finding air leaks in tires. Just spray over tread and sidewall and watch for bubbles.
Also diesel works better for ant mounds because unlike gas, diesel being oil based really soaks into the mound killin'em.

one of the primary functions of ATF is to maintain the rubber seals in transmissions and power steering systems. I use it ALL THE TIME in my shop to bring rubber back to life. As long as it's only dry and NOT cracked, it'll make stiff rubber squishy again--just soak it overnight and rinse off in the morning.

sounds like it should be followed up with the phrase:
