There actually is a gel that can be used to protect homes during a wildland fire. I don't know the origin of the product and I don't think that it is very popular, because by the time a home is threatened it is to late to start applying the gel. I have wrapped structures in a foil like product which in my opinion was a wast of time and mainly just public relations.
Has anyone mentoined using black pepper to fix coolant leaks?

Actually someone beat me to it, but what I do in a pinch is pour about a half of one of those small red tin boxes of black pepper into the radiator and it gathers at the leak and expands. Works amazingly well, does not clog things up, and comes out when you flush the cooling system.

1. Removing the ash tray and replacing it with a cb radio fits perfectly In there the tray was ment to be a radio slot
2. Purple degreaser as a carpet cleaner, also use it to clean my interior everything comes out lookin new
3. While living in Alaska I learned pieces cut off government chain link fence makes great shear pins for our boat. Ecspecially when your stranded on the water. Since they happen to be all over the place from the military

Diesel fuel works good to clean guns (or any metal moving parts), that's basically what Break-Free is.

Coolant leak black pepper thing...
take one egg and a 1/2 teaspoon (generous pinch) of black pepper beat it together and pour in rad. Stops leak and will not clog coolant galleries like bars leaks has been known to from time to time.

Wet newspaper on oil stained concrete. leave it overnight to dry. No more stain once the paper is dry.

Does the oil have to be fresh or can it be an old stain?

Not sure on the old stain but try anyway. What have you got to lose?

tips and stuff

Don't use brake cleaner and any type of heat or flame. You can get phosgene gas poisoning. It is a nerve gas and the Nazi's used it in their camps.

Dandruff shampoo is a good hand cleaner (I used the dollar store brand)

KY Jelly on rad hoses. makes them slip on easier and you aren't contaminating the coolant with an oil product.

wd40 to get gum out of your kids hair.

roll a piece of duck tape around your finger to quickly pull out bee stings by dabbing them with your tape wrapped finger

lol, dont pour gas all over the oil, just enough to cover the oil surface, light it with a fire exstinguisher ready. sometimes if im not up for dodgeing a fire, i just pour gas on the oil, and try to sop it up.

ok so heres my two peniths worth instead of glass cleaner try dry newspaper its awesome cleaning your windows and gets rid of the greese marks aswell. deep penertraring oil is real good for making your vehicles plastics uber shiny. wd40 is also good on gas parts in riffles is a trick we use in army to save scrubbing with scotch brite. bees wax as a base coat on your boots before ya polish them gives ya that glass look instead of painting them which cracks the polish. computer fans built in to your stereo install to cool amps etc. condoms for waterproofing engine components and/or water storage. if i think of any more ill let ya all know.
