Safety Corridor for hell sakes!!
Jacruz have you been wheeling lately??
FS 1 has been pretty fun. Lots of snow. I even busted out my new chains. Up 299 on Waterman Ridge the forest cops opened up a road that has been closed for years. It is called "Lone Pine Road." I was up there in Nov when they first opened it and last week I did a short trip up there. There are so many good side cut roads off that road. It is wheeling heaven. The one good thing about that road is it has this GNARLY hairpin turn as you start up to get to the top. I saw a full size Ford that had to turn around and go home because he couldn't make the turn. There is a steep vertical rocky cliff on one side of the turn and a 200ft drop into Horse Linto Creek on the other side. In a full size rig you are either taking a bath or you are going to ding up your jacked mall crawler. In a Yota... No problem!

Toyo- I've only been out to Samoa and Fernbridge I've yet to really see what she can do, but I have a buddy I'm stationed here with who just picked up a 1st gen truck and hopefully we can get some wheeling in. I don't really get out much as my rig is kinda of a never ending project for me as I'm always looking for something to get for it and for now she is kind of a budget wheeler. So up next on the list is mud flaps and a clutch cause I pulled out a Chevy 1500 in Samoa twice and it really tore up my clutch, the guy did offer me some 215 for my troubles but I'm not into that. So who do you usally go with?

That is one of the best looking flatbeds i've ever seen. I want to build one for my truck, but def need to work on my welding skills. you should consider making that into kit or something. super nice.

That looks awesome man! Ive pondered doing a flatbed, but never like how they seem to look when they are done. Yours definitely has me thinking. The thing I notice most, is the fact that you dont see the uglyness of the undercarriage like most flatbeds...you did a good job of covering it all up, but still keeping ground clearance an important factor. What are the overall dimensions? Did you just stop it at the end of the frame rails?
I'll definitely be looking into building one for my truck. As someone else mentioned, Im definitely jealous. I have a single cab, so am wondering what it would look like without the extended cab, but I would try to make a few small changes, just so its not an exact copy of yours. Keep up the good work.

Awesome job! I love your flatbed, especially the headache rack supports. I have to agree with everyone else, the best looking and thought out flatbed I've seen!

Hahahah....I DID, I DID! lol. ....After some NIGHTMARISH nail biting and 2nd teardowns of course! HAHHA.

MANNNNNNNNN, I just had to come back and look at your rig, Spearo...that thing is SO DANG SWEET! I'm planning out some things in the future, regarding extending out the back for a mod(camping dome on the extension)....I've seen some, before, but GOOD LORD, ....we're talking CABBAGE CROPS, not baskets! lol. Anyway, I'll hopefully get some good advice when I'm ready to do it.....FROM YOU! LOL. DANG< I really do need to re-learn some welding!

Here's how i did up my quick-disconnect mudflaps

the bolt in this picture was just temporary, I actually use bannana clips. I dont know what they're really called but its a pin with a half moon shaped spring if you will that you pull out and slide over the end of the pin.

ok found a pic of what i use, lol

To keep the bars more secure in we welded a small bead on the bar that inserts into the female square tube. (the bead takes up the difference in sizes between the two tubes)

between the codder pin and this bead the bar fits snug.

Only issue i've had is with the mudflaps themselves, i gotta find better rub, both sides cracked on me.

Oh and for the record, knock on wood, i havent been harassed by a cop in years. I ran without mudflaps almost a month after both sides friggen cracked on me and had everycop from Thurston County to King (seattle) tail me and never was pulled over. I cant believe it, fully exposed 37's? LOL

anyway, i dont mind rockn flaps, keeps people behind me safer and keeps the pigs off my butt and I can take em off in 30 seconds before hittn the trail.
