i didnt end up having to work today so i managed to get quite a bit done. its all welded in now.
here are some pics of the inside, there is plenty of room behind the seats for a small tool box and other crap

It's now a "double-cab 4runner"...VERY nice chop!
Your going to have to get creative with those rear body mounts and make/drill/weld new ones...or cut right up to them.

well today i got everything fully welded and even got some bondo on it!!
the top and sides all cleaned up and ready for bondo
i also got the bottom half all sealed
bondo waiting to be sanded nice and smooth
what it looks like now
so thats all for now. tomorrow ill finish up the bondo and hopefully go and get a window made out of leaxan

thanks everyone for your compliments. i decided that i am not going to bob it because i think that it will be nice to have some space back there. and yes i will eventually do a full paintjob and for the bed rails i plan on doing somwthing similar to what mossyrocks did

got the bondo good enough until i paint it and i also picked up a rear slider for 20 bucks

now all i have to do is finish the bed rails and im kind of thinking about trying to fit a pickup tailgate and getting rid of the heavy ass one on it now. has anyone ever tried this before or know how hard it would be to make it work??

Looks sweet, I would love to do this to one of my runners. I think you should go with a tube gate replacment for the tailgate. It looks odd sticking up like that but I am jelous so I had to find something LOL.

ya a tube gate would be cool and i know the gate is higher than the sides but i plan on raising the sides to match it when i cap everything off if that makes any sense
