Still lovin this build, Although I have a question, And a comment...You just straight got rid of the stock fuel tank..? Try not to put any cigs in that one ammo can... .....Oh and, I think the cage would look alittle sleeker if it followed the lines of the body rather then just sticking straight up like a headache rack or something. But like I said, Looks good, Keep it up !!

yes, stock fuel tank is gone, the fuel cell breather is going to be relocated just to be safe, and i would have made the main hoop follow the body closer but if you look you can see that the back of the body is angled forward and i couldnt figure out how to follow that line as well as the other lines, but it ahould look better once the rest of the exo is done, i have some ideas to cover up that gap.

you wont be able to just buy one somewhere you will have to take it somewhere and have it custom made and you would probably have to build a frame to support the top, theres people on here that have done it with a soft top and they might be more help than me

hope you like the 39.5's , i love the 36" flavor... hoping to upgrade this summer after i adjust my ride heigth -1.5" and get a good long dry spell to trim the fenders. you'll love those tires in the snow after they break in some [mine went quick at 3psi] or open them up some with the groover, i almost feel they work better in the snow after wearing down some... less prone to digging in maybe...

i have no clue weather its legal or not to cut off the top my 4runner hasnt been exactly street legal for quite awhile. if i had to guess i would say no i dont really see why it would make a difference. as for the tires yes i love them the difference between them and the 35's is night and day. just this last saturday i went on a snow run and got into snow that was up to my front bumper and still had no problems. oh and i should hopefully have some more updates soon not really anything to big but im piecing together parts to convert my a/c compressor into onboard air.

Yeah I dont see why it wouldnt be street legal if everything was done right but my roommate keeps arguing with me that i cant do it because it illegal but ill have to look it up some more.

the only thing the cops usually worry about is bumper height and how far your tires stick out im sure there is not a law that says you cannot cut the top off. and even if it is illegal im pretty sure you wouldnt have anything to worry about but im not sure where you live

Sweet build! That has taken alot of time and effort man and it is really coming along well. Now remove the chrome siding and get it painted! Haha, excellent work!
