Tacoma Solid Axle Swap

Thanks! Setting it down was a big moment for us.
Sadly though, we have hit a snag. We are missing a u-joint for the steering shaft and without it we can't set the steering box in place
So, we are searching for the part via the net and telephone.

Hell yeah!
Wasn't that bad was it!!! I'll speak for myself and say the hardest part was the cutting and grinding. "But I didn't swap in a D-44." Your gonna love your new setup. Mine rides better on the street than the IFS did and is WAY better off road.

I keep hearing about this high steer concept, but could anyone help clarify for me what this actually means and how it differs from whatever normal is called?

If the tie rod and drag link are above the springs, it's high steer, below the springs it's low steer. Crossover is when the drag link goes all the way from one side to the other to connect.

Last year it was in Florence Junction and was just about the best event I attended during the year. Over 100 Toyota trucks of all flavors, on trails from class 3 to class 5.
It's usually in March. I understand they are getting ready to finalize the dates now...
