New Bumpers and Lid
Hey all im taking my runner and M416 trailer down to a guy in VA to get front and rear bumpers for the runner and a lid for the trailer. That being said is 1750 to much? I started thinking about it, i could get production model front and a semi production rear for less then that and do the lid myself whenever i could get around to it. He is also keeping the truck to work on it for 8 weeks, which i will be in FL for 7 of with out the truck so no problem there. Im just now second guessing myself. Any input would be greatly appreciated. Sorry for no pictures, watch this thread and ill post some as i get them, (if i get them).

Thats what i am thinking. But the guy uses plate for eveything. Does awesome work. Im just feeling iffy about the price. But compared to shrockworks its a decent price. And yes it will be about the same level of a build as shrockworks.

Unless you have a better option it's a good price. Bumpers for the 3rd gens are hard to find. I assume they will be installed. That is worth a few hundred dollars alone.

they are being built on the runner. and that is one reason i am doing it this way, is because options are limited, i dont have to install them (although it would be fun).

The cheapest i found for a rear bumper is 800(most are 1300+) and even the ARB front is 800 so there is your 1600 right there and you are getting a lid made for your trailer also. I think this is a fair price as long as the quality is there also. Along with that if you are able to give input on design and function that is priceless.

Its like people have already said and what you probably already know. You pay for what you get. Good quality costs. If you are getting the design you want and great quality I don't think that sounds all that bad for cost. Also like Pikeman said if you were to get some manufactured units it would cost close to that not including the lid plus you would have to install. I think I got a great deal on my rear bumper, the steel cost me like $75. I did however spend about 18 hours building it at my buddies shop. Anyway, I hope it works out and that your bumpers come out as good as you are hoping for.
