My new tailgate

Was tired of having all this stuff laying in the back of the cab, I didnt want it stolen in the bed, and dont want a tool box taking up bed space.

Here is my solution. Should have it all bed lined this weekend. Probably squirt the shovel, ax, and jack with fresh red paint.

Has bolt lock style latches on the inside. Hinged and has chains (like the old truck) to hold it flat when you lower it like a factory tailgate. Also eliminated my nasty tailgate rattle.

And since Im new, a couple other pics of the truck

Very nice! I was contemplating something similar. Have a pic of the tailgate down?

will snag ya a picture tomorrow. Has chains to hold it level/flat. smooth top grate so it functions like a tailgate should being able to set stuff on and slide in.
