I dont like cold feet and will only endure them when out fishing. But i keep them next to the cemet mixer in case i need to run out in the middle of the nite for a "side job"

Today I had a small window of time to work this. <sigh>
Not as far as I wanted to get but it is progress. I went out and picked up a 90 degree and a 12" section of 3" exhaust tubing. So, began the cutting. Now, I really wasn't sure if I was gonna get this to work and I did take ALOT of metal out.

Now I removed the hood hold up bracketry for better access to the void under the cowling. This helped out a lot.

Unfortunately this is about as far as I got. I'm currently working to cut down the bend and add another angle there to redirect the pipe to point forward so I can attach the flex hose from the intake box. So far with the fender in place I have JUST enough clearance for everything. I can now put the hood support bracketry back in with only some mild massaging of the angle pipe.

If this doesn't work out or I decide to go with a different idea the only thing I REALLY will have to do is either replace the wiper cowling or repair the metal.

man, just read your thread through...looks like a great job so far. i cant wait to see how you wrap it up. are you putting the snorkel inlet right there at hood level or running it up the windshield...i must have missed that in your thread? if you are running it upwards, it would be great if you could get the 90* elbow to point strait up the windshield instead of vertically. anyway, great work so far. keep it up.

Last night I got the main wiring installed to include the 2/0 power cable from the battery to the starter. Then the starter wire back up to the terminal stud I bolted to the passenger fender. I mounted this close enough that the power wire to the fuse block would reach. I'm going to eventually put that stud in a box and cut down the 2/0. Of course I JUST realized that I had my finger in the shot...

I've finally got the angle of the dangle down for the snorkel stack. I will be welding some mounting tabs to hold the stack. I also still have to clean up the welds. I need to get some Right Stuff spray foam to close up the gaps around the tubing.

FINALLY!!!!!! I got the damn connection from the intake to the filter box worked out. Man, that was driving me NUTS!!!!
I found a 90 degree pvc fitting for RV drainage and using three of these 3" nohub couplers(minus the metal strapping) made a flexible coupler to make the complicated bend.

Where the two close together hose clamps are is a combination of 1" wide 2.5" exhaust pipe and a cut down Spectre intake tube coupler to form a SOLID mounting area to crank down the hose clamps.

Now there's a nice MULTIPLE bend connection. It makes it very easy to slide the box/AFM in and out of spot for adjustments and future maintenance. It also eases up the pressure between the two ports.

Now if I can only find my freakin fender....

Hopefully I can get the AFM wiring done tonight!!!!

Once I get that pipe put together and mounted the rest is cake. Still have the electrical to do though...
