Update, 24JAN10
Today I took the passenger fender and the hood louver off to see what I was gonna be working with. Running that 3" flex hose is gonna be just fine however the HUGE hole I'm gonna have to make to get into what the louver covers is going to be interesting.
I'm gonna need to notch a little more of the hole where the hose comes outta the air box. Eventually that will be sealed off from the fender well.

Here you can see where I'm gonna cut. Basically, my first plan is to use some 3" exhaust tubing and make a completely unique bendy piece...
FYI, the actual scoop for the inlet air for the cabin air sits on the passenger side of the louver cavity. So, I have to be careful not to interfer with that but there is just enough room.

Here the battery is fully installed into the diesel factory location.
I also transferred over the ground wire from the passenger side to the new location and utilized a motor mount bolt to reground the block. I will continue to use the factory ground, just have to get a new wire and install it to the fender. There is plenty of clearance for the positive terminal in relation to the hood. So, atleast the battery install part of this is done. The WHOLE electrical is still pending. Minor detail though, pretty straight forward.

ugh, I'd sure would like too. I may try to scam outta a day of work and I'd bet I could get this wrapped up. It's quite an extensive project. I still don't even know what I'm gonna do for a scoop.
Plus I still have to get my mud flaps installed.

eh, well Levi came over to get his skid and to grab some tools to get his helicoil done. So I fired up the rig so he could hear it. I figured it was as good a time as any to check for leaks again. Same joint, but now its leaking at the top. At least the bottom is sealed up, huh?

We'll see, its gonna be a lot of welding, grinding, welding, grinding to get what I want. I actually mentioned this in my 24JAN10 update post.
