I have a tire mount from a safari rack and thought about mounting it in the 2 holes used for the license plate... not sure if that would a disaster or not? I am not sure if those 2 holes would be enough to hold it. And the gas shocks that hold the rear door up would probally fail due to the weight (I would have to remove the tire everytime I needed inside the rear of the truck)...

Hmmm????

Ok, looking for something new then I must say the look of the tire carrier on a 3rd generation is sweet.

Well I've e-mailed about 10 different sources today. Hopefully I'll have some good news in the next few days, so that's the news on my end. Maybe Andy will have better luck?

I've got one of those Australia off road magazines around here somewhere. I'll dig it up and see if there is anything listed in the back of it.

Ah, no go there then. I sent a pm to a guy on the board that has a Surf and lives in the Phillipines. Maybe he will reply back with some news?

I didn't think any of you guy were really serious about buying some sort of under the truck carrier.

If I am wrong call or e-mail me. I don't take message board posts serious for orders/work.

But on the other side have you guys tried contacting that guy on the board that is in the US Military stationed in Japan and sells the Climometers on eBay?

You know he can ship Military Mail.

Would you sell just the mount or mount with new chain for spare???
I am interested. Don't want to reinforce the frame or have to look at my spare.
I'll e-mail as well. Just thought I would throw my preference out there.
