Yeah those sammies are very cheap to build up. I've been thinking about one of those also. Its like driving a big 4wheeler. A buddy of mine owns one. We put power steering on it last weekend. So far it is blessed with front and rear lockers, spring over lift, 31" bfg mts, low 4:1 tcase gears, roll cage. That little thing rocks man. It will go anywhere a TJ with 35's can go and probalby even more.

yeah, a well built zuk is hard to follow. i am going to try to get my toy to compete with this , a buddy of mines sammi. this thing is insane. he is running a 1.6 with a webber and is having problems twisting 44 shafts. he is putting in a 35 spline D60 as soon as he can. he has since bent up a new cage, and it looks real good now. ill try to get more recent pics. LMK if you want any specs on it.

Coolness! Before I found my Cruiser, I debated between a Cruiser or a Sammi... I found the Cruiser before the Sammi, so I went that route. I still wouldn't mind having one to build up, tho.

Best of luck with the rig. Keep up posted on what you do with it

Cool.

I have a dream about putting a super charged 3.4 with an auto and dual ultimate into an LWB Sami running Toy axles.

Didn't you just sell a Nova to get an 86 that you wanted to put a solid axle on but then decided to add a crawler so that you could tow the Jeep to the trails because the runner was too expensive?

$850 obo for a nice running stocker with AC!
I bet he'd take $750.

On the Pirate Zuk board there is a guy, LWB Samauri Joe I think is his name. He's got a long wheelbase zuk with a Toy 2L Diesel, dual cases and dual locked Toy mini truck axles. I start drooling when I think about his setup except that I think its too high and on tires that are too big.

flygenstien, that makes now sense to me whatsoever...i would never own a jeep for one and i didnt selll the nova to get a 4 runner, i bought the runner with cash, decided that i didnt want to try and pull that to trailheads with the taco, kept it around to sell so i could buy a sammi, but instead i just traded it for one. now im going to sell the nova so i can go ahead and put d-44 under the sammi..... may be confusing but its ohs o clear right now!

74-79 Jeep Wagoneer. Those are the perfect sammy axles. Passenger side front diff and passenger side rear diff. Both D44s. Just in case you weren't in the know...

I'm not real familiar with Zuk's- I take it they have a stock solid axle in the front, so no swap to worry about?

Correct. The big problem with Zuks is wheelbase. Everyone I know that has a nicely built Zuk has lengthened the WB significantly.

well it will be more realiable then a jeep cause its gonna be powered by a toyota, the not swapping axles over isnt really true, its going to be riding on toyota axles or it will have twin d-44's, im going to run a max tire size of 35 " and wont be extending the wheelbase, ill get pics of the suzk up later tonight or tommorow.
