Fire extinguisher in Tacoma single cab

Has anyone installed an extinguisher in their reg. cab Tacoma? Looking for ideas after I demolished my camper top. Must look nice and be able to withstand forced stops. Thanks.

mount it on the floor up against the seat. this way it's out of the way and easily accessible in emergency. Keeping it in place is as simple as using the mounting kit that comes with extinguishers.

I considered that and am a little worried about space. Seems that may be the way to go.
Thanks mudslinger.

underneath the seat is your best bet. or maybe in the bed box, if you have one.

Mine is mounted to the sub box in the back seat. I used the mounting kit that came in the box.

Mudslinger is a term used for people who do pottery, at least where I'm from. highonpottery...
No back seat in mine... looking for something with more room though.
No room under the seat, just enough for trash.
I don't want to take up space from the bed, i know, lots of room in the bed. I would hit it with something back there.

Are you using a real fire extinguisher the kind that needs inspected and has a tag on it.

How often are you hauling other people around.

I made a bracket and attached mine on the passenger side of the truck

no problemo on the "mudslinger". i get all kinds of weird names since i'm usually covered in clay.

as for mounting it under the seat - i didn't actually mean "under" the seat, but in front of the seat, like where you grab the slide adjuster. if you mount it parallel to your seat it will only take up a few inches and will be well clear of your feet. lots of people mount mag flashlights in this spot. I have an xcab and decided to mount mine behind the driver's seat on the sidewall - I've never had to use it, but I'm planning to move it where I told you to mount yours because it's hidden if there's stuff in the back and takes too long to get to in emergency. I use one of the Kiddie brand automotive fire extinguishers since they're supposedly "safe" in the engine bay/electronics.

Ok this is getting ridiculous. Its something you should definitely have, but most importantly not make a big deal over. Just stick it where ever you can.

Bucket seats with an ammo can in the center, other wise I would put it there... or I can attach it to the lid of said ammo can and cover it with padding for a nice arm rest.
