some recent photos of my rig in the new shop. Glad to be working on it indoors again. been a crazy few weeks at work havent had but one day off a week for months and workin with tools and machines all day when u get off the last thing u want to do is more work lol.

I turn her on bout 2-3 times a week to circulate the oil and check for leaks. so far for the most part nothing major. I still need to do some timing on it and I need to wire back in a coolant temp sensor. the AA headers burned the wires off the old one. and I could use a new senson as it should help it run a little better. its running real rich but the temp sensor has some to do with that. Im using a mechanical gauge for my in dash gauge.

garage is real big. got my roomates rig in the background undergoing some work.

Dont know if Ive talked much about my new colant lies but I bought 4 4' sections of flexible stainless colant lines from summit. 15bucks each. hell of a deal I should have bought more its real nice. Under my frame i have 2 bout 4' sections of copper line u bolted to the body.

Heres the lines from summit racing sold in a few different colors made by MR gasket I bought the 48" lines

Dude, I'm sure you do, but do you realize just how bad ass this truck is? Besides the Vortec, I think it's the tailgate and radiator that REALLY spark my interest.

Check out my first build with it that had the 3.4 I put in it. Just got tired of its electrical. And should have bought a full donor really for both swaps but I'm happy with how my 4.3 has performend in small tests recently I've done. The first build has the build of the bumper. And chopped rear
Looking into cage right now. Lots of desicions to make. I want a stock hood which I still need to pick up of course will be cut up a little

Sounds like a steal tiger . I've been thinking of doing a motor swap but I'm in love with how the 22re just keeps chugging along.. I'm hoping with a header cam intake And possibly head will do it... But then again it would be sick to build a stroked 22 and turbo it ... Ya know but ya I'm hopin those simple mods will do it for me. And already tried with Obama and u kno what he said... I'm not important enuff lol

hey man kinda new to yt just wanted to say great build so far its really given me some great ideas. still a student now so im pretty limited at the moment but i think im heading in a good direction but that aside great build. sucks about the life and lemons and what not but dont let it kill your spirit. ive seen too many people give up on their passions cause of life issues and you just keep pluggin through it WITH your runner i can only imagine the sentimental attachment youll have with it seeing as how its been through all the rough stuff with you. years from now youll look at that picture of it sitting in front of yet another new home and youll really get chills(my guess anyway) i onow my truck has been though a lot with me and at times been all i have and the only thing that can clear my head, whether major wrenching projects or trail riding or just going for a stroll through town or cleaning it. i really feel bad for people who never get to have that kind of bond with something. but anyway youve given me some great ideas and lots of food dor thought and since im very limited learning as much as possible is my only way to be moving in my wheeling carrier for the time being. thanks for the detailed write ups and i wish you the best on your build and cant wait to see more!

Welcome Tpaine, and post a build thread.. even if its just routine stuff... ill come check it out.. never know what tricks u may have or we may have. so ya. and filis. ill trade ya... my beat up tore up cut up 85 for urs... oh and ill toss in a horse or two lol... jkjk. but u need to get to wheeling summer is almost here and since im in texas again i gotta just oogle and ah on here at least until i get a tow rig. cuz driving 2.5 hrs one way and risking breaking cuz i do tend to get angry and break.. i dont want to have to worry about limping her home, lol but ya still jealous, oh and if i do a motor swap its gonna be a 4.3 thanks to u ...

Just read through the whole thread. Damn thats a badass rig

Im doing the same motor swap. 97 CPI Vortec, r150f tranny. But i have to keep the ifs for a while.

I love the rig, you give me tons of inspiration, and helped out with my swap too.

I have read the stock fuel pump is fine. But that doesnt include the CPIs.
And now i know where to get my starter

2 door runner just fyi the tbi could run off a stock pump as it requires less pressure however the cpi is higher. Good thing u can do if running a stock tank is get a stock cpi fuel pump and swap it in place of the yota one..
And tpain thanks for the complements honsestly brings me chills lookin at it and I almost get as much pleasure just looking at is as I do drivin it haha. Thanks everyone.
Its still huge in my life and will be on the trails.sucks the most local trail rieter pit closed and god knows when that'll open.
Also since I'm at a machine shop that's real small but busy I can make a ton of custom stuff and if demands high enough even sell some really badass parts for everyone.

Thank you all on yt and sorry for my absence and slow replys

looking good dude! still the most badass 4runner i have seen haha. how do you like those iroks? im going to SAS my 91 2door runner and i cant make up my mind on tires and what springs to run. thought i would ask you what you think? sofar im thinking 3" tg front and f150's out back, run some 35"s maybe km2's or MTR's. reason radials is because it still my DD. but i really want to run some original super swampers, maybe 38"s hehehe. oyah i was thinking 3" springs because i want to keep this thing low but what do you think about 5" tg HD springs? i dont do any crazy wheeling... yet . i just want to be able to enjoy it all around, from DD to hitting some trails on the weekend. anyways im rambling like crazy lol feal free to reply or not haha

Lol happy to reply :-p. I love the iroks. I've got bias 39s now but need to swap rims for a smaller bs to stick them out a little more. There real tall but amazing aired down. I've got some steel and gonna make my own beadlocks soon as I can. I've got a crazy idea for some ill share once I make them. Tree huggers are gonna hate me for them but I think they'll turn out sick. Kinda hush hush about them now. I think 3" will do you well. I removed packs out of my 5" allpros and couldn't be happier with their performance. Like I always say after learning the hard way lower and wide with big tires is great. Tall and skinny is so sketchy. My next tire will probably be the newer maxis tire. Not sure the name of them but crazy lugs and seem to perfom amazing

With the smaller springs you'll have to do some cutting even bigger too I guess. But time and patience you can cut them and make it look like it was ment to be. Also bigger tires I moved my front axle forward about 1.5" and I may move my rear back a little too and add some trac bars to help my axle wrap
