Question Custom steering arm *help*

SAS -- from a 86 dodge ram.

I'm trying to set this up so that i can run a hysteer off the right (passenger side) knuckle.
I wanted to ask around and see if anyone had any knowledge before i get to drilling, welding and other mayhem on that knuckle.
It's not too thin but i really don't know-- i was thining about just making a plate that was somewhere around 1/2" thick or thicker and puddle welding and welding the plate onto the knuckle...then fabricating a hole for the linkage--the steering bar...which will be bolted and welded inside a 1.5" steel square tube with the other end connected appropriately to the pitman arm....

any advice??

Have any pics of the stock knuckle arm?
You might be able to do a knuckle arm flip

I'll post tomorrow -- that might be a solution. otherwise i was playing with the idea of drilling a hole in the knuckle...they have lower arms for the tie rod that runs a straight bar from wheel to wheel in the front of the axle...

I definitely want to do this myself rather than just buy a bolt on knuckle!!
Thanks -- ran out of daylight today
