^^^thanks^^^ im toying with the thought of making some more to sell to people. should be able to keep the cost low if i get the material in bulk amounts. was about $40 to make mine, but i already had the fiberglass cloth, brushes and some resin to start with. if there is serious interest i can figure up an estimate.

Now i'm just waiting to see the write up on the "piping to airbox" ................. so much so that I am waiting on doing an upgraded AFM/battery swap.
What kind of thoughts are you considering? planning to use a stock type filter or somthing else inline? if you build a "pan" under the scoop what are your thoughts on water drainage? just trying to think it through.

i already have a k&n filter in the box, so i plan to cap off the existing hole and put a new one on the pass side of the box for the pipe to enter thru. i decided to go with a drain funnel that a toilet mounts too due to the size and mounting options i have with it. as far as water issues i will probably just drill a couple 1/8" holes in the bottom of the airbox for water to escape. so cal does not have an issue with much water falling from above and im not the puddle slamming type. however, i am keeping an eye out for a small one way flapper of some sort to put in the bottom of the box that lets stuff out but not in. dont hold your breath on that one though! progress will resume shortly.

had a hang up on doin the intake. was off getting shoes for the truck.

this is what i chose to use to attach the piping to the hood. good ol' fashioned toilet funnel.

tried to do the gasket deal so the hood would close down on it and seal via the pipe insulation i got, but just didnt have enough clearance between the hood and valve cover.

it was pushing the hood up so i went to this.

this is the result.

now i need to find a hose so i can open and close the hood when its all done. thinkin about a shop vac hose or something. not wanting to try dryer hosing. if anyone has suggestions i would appreciate it.

it has four screws. 2 in the front, 2 in the rear. putting a lip on it would work, but so does running long screws straight thru it. i tend to do things differently (mostly to see people stand there with a stupid look on their face wondering why its that way).

i suggest (only because it's meant for air intakes) the spectre flex hose, usually found at auto parts stores. if not, then maybe shop vac hose like you said. browse around the hardware store... might be able to find something
