Built/tacked together a quick truss for a buddy's Toy axle.

 

Building another truss for a buddies Isuzu Dana 44. He said bomber...

 

dang that second truss is heavy duty "bomber" is right. im gonna do one somewhat like the first one when i get my sas underway nice work.

 

First one with all those holes is just a rust promoter and water/mud collector on the crevasses.

This was brought up during the cutting.. thus is why there are reliefs cut out for drainage along the axle. Colorado wheeling doesn't entail much muddin'... so not much of an issue here. However for the mudding crowd... ya just another place to have to stick the Hotsy nozzle. I agree.

For that matter, sealed areas tend to find water without a way to dry out. Thus the water tends to set in there and fester away... good thing axles tend to be overbuilt and can handle it.
