Angled like that you use 13" of shock stroke?
From yet another big 2nd Gen, good luck with axle wrap and blocks.
If you add a longer front spring, and a longer shackle you will get even more travel. A short shackle with that crappy angle is really limiting things.

Hey did anyone mention the front shackle angle? JK
Just an FYI, every truck I've had with ARB lockers, and a lot of others I know of, eventually fill the air lines with gear oil and spray it out the solenoids when you unlock. My current truck does a great job of lubing the underside of the hood and my valve cover every time I use my front locker. Might be a messy probelm for you with the solenoids mounted under the seat.

<------ New owner... There's been one owner between Mike having it my recent purchase. The rig now has 230K miles on it. I'll be changing a few things.. Have a 2.28+4.7 doubler in my garage that I'm going to put in it and some bilstein 5150 shocks. Unsure whether I'll keep the Auto or convert to 5 speed.

Took the 4Runner out to Kansas Rocks Park on Saturday. This was the first time wheelin' the 4Runner, I thought it did well and I'm surprised at how much I like the ARB lockers. Not a huge fan of MTR's but that's neither here nor there... I located a R150F transmission from a friend and will be swapping that in along with a 2.28+4.7 crawler box from my old truck.. My intentions are to have that completed before the end of August.
Here's some pics from our trip:

I had a little mishap... I was at the top of a hill, put the truck in neutral to roll back a couple feet--turn and change my line. When I put the truck into neutral and hit the brake pedal my foot went to the floor---NO BRAKES.. Picked up speed so quickly and it wouldn't go into gear or park. Ended up being stopped by a tree.

The tree is OK though!!

this is where I lost my brakes.. and it's against the tree that stopped me in the photo..

So with that little incident I've come up with a plan.. going to do something very similar to this: http://pirate4x4.com/forum/showpost....0&postcount=96

No E-Brake on this truck.. I'll be adding one when the new tcases go in.
I won't bash on Marlin's bumper, it wasn't designed to take on that kind of an impact...
Sold some parts off my green yota on 1 tons so I'm gonna order the tcase parts/ebrake this week... Probably get rollin' on the chop this weekend... There's the Kansas Krawl at Tuttle Creek that I wanna make mid-september so I need to get a move on this thing. I've got 100' of tubing sitting in my garage so I'm ready to start bending.

???
