86-94 swap questions

I have an 86 turbo reg cab with sas installed....I just found a 94 extended cab with good frame no engine for 200. I want to sas the extended cab and put my turbo motor in it. Can i put the86 cluster in the 94 and is the wiring harness the same? Both are 22re but the 86 was turbocharged. Is there anything different I should know or be worried about before I buy this that wil be a huge pain or will everything work pretty good. Same motor mounts...tranny mounts....wiring....dash....?????? anything will help...thanks in advance.

There is nothing the same between those 2 trucks. It will be a lot of work unless your good with splicing harnesses together.

The turbo frame has been cut and the cab will almost touch the back tires...that is why i dont want to use the turbo frame. What is so different in the trucks that I couldnt use the same harness? both are 22re's. I really want to use the extended cab frame and body...so do I HAVE to switch the entire wiring harness? What would be different from 86-94? Also how hard is it going to be to swap an entire wiring harness? Help fast would be appreciated...I want to pick it up tomorrow. Also would I be able to just change the computer and harness attached to it? The other wiring for the fuse box and dash stuff should be ok right? Both engines are pulled so couldnt I pull the computer out and just swap over the computer wiring?

Well, I haven't done a toyota swap, but I know on my car it would have been easier to swap the whole wiring harness instead of splicing stuff in. I'm going to assume that for this, it'd be the same way. And pretty much no matter what, you will have to do some splicing and other stuff to get it to work.

PS. I wish I could find a deal on a Good frame/ extended cab like that, very jealous.

definately use the turbo engine harness. There are many little changes made through the years on the toyota harnesses, its really annoying. you might be able to get away with useing the current interior harness in the '94. You might want to post this in the 86-95 forum, you'll get more answers.

The air flow meters are the same. At least the parts numbers are.
