4 link SAS
#21
Hey freaks, I am looking to link SAS on '97 4Runner and was wondering what size and flavor tubing would be recomended. I was thinking 1 1/2" .250 wall Chromoly, but was wondering if I needed to go Chromo? DOM? 1 3/4"? 2"?
I was also wondering about which vehicle's bushings I could use for the sleeved mounts on the axle? Also wondering about sway bars. Anyone looking to get rid of a pair ? Antirocks or equivalent.

As far as the 4-link front suspension, I think my mind is made up on "IF" I do a SAS conversion in front, that is how I'll do it. And yes, the plan was to do the rear too. It will sit on a complete 4-link suspension front and rear with coil-overs. Again, this is if I go with a SAS.
I'd rather have the same suspension set-up front and rear if possible. I know, kind of stupid when it comes from the factory with torsion bars up front and springs in the back, but it's just my way of thinking.
And as far as the comment about being locked front and rear, that is all in the big picture of things. As I said this is going to be a serious rig when finished.
