It wont be long now....
I will be selling my 85 4Runner (in the street) to fund a "mild" build on the 07 Sport Edition V8. Small lift, sliders, skids, ARB, bumpers, 33's. We'll "start" with that, and go from there. Stay tuned...

Why would you do such a thing I would give my left um you know to get an 85 I would keep it until I was on oxygen and have them park it by the window so I could see it when they pulled the plug

Yeah,.... wow.
That '07 with worth a ton. I'm actually torn on what to do. I could sell the '07, and buy a third gen, mabe 2001 or 2002, and have the $$$ left over to REALLY build it. So many options at this point that it makes it hard to decide.

If you get rid of the 85 I won't like it...... na man I just love 1st gens, wish I had one instead of my truck but my truck got me into toyotas and then I fell in love with the runners but I'm kinda deep cash wise in my truck so I can't justify one anytime soon but maybe later in life
Good luck with whatever you decide.

So what ever happened to that 85?
Put it on Craigslist for a high price, figured why not? Not in any rush.
Phone was on FIRE the next day with non-stop texts.
First guy that came the second morning paid full price- cash.
No negotiation, No test drive, No start up. DONE.
Sad part was that as it drove away, it was the first time I ever saw what that rig looked while going down the street. Pretty sweet indeed.
