ARRRRRRRRR! I'm half pirate.

Weiln,
The shock should be covered in its own oil if its blown. Otherwise its prob the weak bushings that are just beat to heck and making metal on metal noise. We can check it out sometime. If you want replacements you can borrow my stockers. No better, but it may stop the noise. I only want them back when you upgrade incase I ever go to stock.
I am down to transmit via CB or 2METER. Gotta love being on the other side of phoenix and still be in radio range!

Tim, the sound was there on the way out, but not on the way back. Weird. Also, doesn't do anything on road, except for that stupid squeak. From what I've read on this forum though, it's because the front shock bushing is squeaky.

Hopefully, I'll get these repalced soon. But, I may go ghetto and cheap, cuz I'm poor.

Correct: Arby's @ Shea and Beeline, 8 AM, Saturday 7/14.

Good idea, I'll add this info to the first post as well.

What we need is a calendar or something on here, so we can post confirmed dates for runs and GT's, kinda like the yuma offroaders have on their site. I'm gettin' confused too with all the what if dates.

Thanks. My father-in-law always wants to see old mining sites....if I tell him now he'll have something to ponder and plan for a month

I think it's open to anyone that can handle it...

Can you handle it?

Yeah, not gonna do a SAS on the 3rd Gen. I'll just wait, and get an old PU with a solid axle. Oh well, too many plans, not enough cash.

Others are welcome, but their vehicle should be ready for the terrain.

If you are not sure, run it by me in a PM if you like. Let me know what vehicle, any mods, etc... and I'll let you know how much fun they will or won't have.

I'd think most 4x4 vehicles can make it. Just have to be in reasonable mechanical shape, good tires, at least one spare.

John, I would have the dana 44 I got in the front of my rig faster than you can say "What IFS" if it were to be possible..... but alas, I have a 2001, and it is not a easy computer to confuse, apparently, And no one swaps 2001-2002's for that reason.
One day....... (As soon as Steve makes a kit)

I think I am in. I might even bring my stinky truck (i.e - the landcruiser). I need to be back home by late afternoon, but this run never takes that long...or I will just pull ahead and take off.

I will invite Sarah, too. She eats this trail up with her tweaked tacoma.

By the way, just about a month ago I brought a BONE STOCK xterra through this trail. Lots of stacking, and the truck complained and took some superficial "scoring", but made it through under its own power.

Don't shy away from this trail!
