Gas Milage

I always wondered what the SA'd 1999 4Runner got for mileage, so I figured it out this time.

With 4.5" of lift, 35" tires and tipping the scale at 4800 pounds, it gets 16.5 MPG.

That is also with the 2.7 and a 5-Speed. Not bad considering how much heavier it is and it has to roll those big tires.

Thats very impressive for that vehicle. Is that mpg calculated on city or hwy driving?

that is pretty impressive..

i get 18 around town and 24 on the highway with my taco. I only have 31's though..

I dont drive much and a take of gas usually lasts me no less than 2 weeks.

Not bad Steve. I'm getting between 16-17 mpg with mine (city/highway mix).

1995 2wd Pickup
Base model shortbed
22RE, M5 transmission
About 21-22mpg city, 26-27mpg highway

We’ll see if I can beat this with a 3RZ swap!
