Exclamation CNC Plasma Cutting, whatever you want.

A friend and I have bought a CNC Plasma cutter.
We can cut anything you want up to .75 inch thick steel.

So far we've been doing all sorts of odd jobs from tabs to boxed a-arms.

Let me know what you want cut and I'll draw it up in our program and get it cut out. You can send me a sketch or design to work off of.

Some things we've cut so far are clocks with shop logos, shackle mounts, license plates for the front of vehicles with logo's or saying's on them, amp holders for autos, wind deflector for a roof top tent.

Basically anything you can think of.

Also, unless budbuilt comes out with one soon, I've started working on a gas tank skid plate for our third generation 4runners. 3/16 steel.

Funny, I was just thinking about drawing up something along those lines for mine.

This is awesome.

I will start a wish list. I'm thirsty right now so I'd like a stainless steel bumper mount bottle opener.

btw, can you cut aluminum with a plasma cutter?

yep.
I was just playing and started creating all kinds of things with SOAZ on it this weekend.
He was working on some boxed a-arms over the weekend.

No. No machining. Although he used to have a full service shop in Tucson. This is only for CNC plasma cutting.

I'll get some next time I'm down there. There isn't any craftsmanship to this type of work though. You give me dimensions and I'll give you the piece of metal with those dimensions. I'll take some pics of the tabs and skid plates next time I'm at the shop in a few weeks. What did you want to see?

Aux fuel tank for the 'runner, in place of the stock spare tire. Complete with skid plate.

Okay. Send me over the specs and I'll cut it out.

Can you work off a CAD file? Or just a printout? I've got a CAD guru sitting behind me at work. I'm gonna give him my aux fuel tank dimensions in a few minutes and see what he can come up with.

I'm thinking aluminum, with a steel skid. I'm gonna make this work eventually.

I have to re-draw it in the Plasmacam program. It should work though. With some bends and then some nice tig welds it should work out well. Definately with a steel skidplate I'd agree.
That thing will be able to drive to cabo and back by the time you're done.

Well he did a 3D mockup with the dimensions I gave him in about 38 seconds flat. I guess I need to come up with something more complicated. So I'll take his printout and figure out where all the connections need to be and whatever else I can do to maximize capacity while retaining clearance. Maybe by friday I'll have a detailed 3D plan for everyone to drool over.

How is the main tank skid project coming along?

I can open files that are .DXF files and it seems like some bitmap files can be opened in the program as well.
Also, BITMAP files that are black and white will convert over.
