AzRocks '08 Trail Runs
Link to AzRocks 2008
April 4 & 5, 2008
Trail Runs – Carlos Gonzales (Our VP) will be organizing the runs with signs and staggered leave times to avoid the cluster. The signs will show the trail, what time it leaves, and what CB channel to use. Once lined up for your run, an inspection will be made to verify that the waiver was signed and you have the necessary equipment for the trail you want to run. Runs will be limited to max 10 vehicles including leader and gunner. Carlos is checking into small stickers for your windshield or we’ll use something like the previous years (to confirm a waiver has been signed).
In general, this will outline the equipment needed:
All Inclusive run or easy run
Since this is an offroad club, and Arizona is very limited on typical "pre-runner" trails, it will be assumed that these runs are 4X4 only runs, no lockers required. These trails typically will not be the kind that you will get anything more than a possible "pin-stripe" or 2. Any damage beyond what is to be considered the normal realm of possibility is minimal at worst, unless you are being careless.
Medium Modified Run
A vehicle with 2-3 inches of lift and a 32" tire minimum are recommended for these runs and sliders are HIGHLY recommended. Check before each run posted if not having sliders or a locker means you should not go. "Pin-stripes" as with all AZ trails is a possibility. Damage risk goes up, but again, if you are not careless, and can listen to a spotter in the sections that one MAY be needed, you can generally wheel these trails damage free.
Hardcore, Solid Axle/Highly Modified Run
35" tires, Sliders and 2 lockers minimum ( winch recommended ). Always check to see if these trails are suited for your truck.
Trails - We need volunteers to lead trails Friday and Saturday. Ideally we would like to have Easy, Medium and Hard trails and try to have each member be able to run 2 trails each day, this obviously depends upon the trail, timing, problems, etc.
Below is a list of trails and their ranking. If you are interested in leading one of these trails, please indicate what trail and what day. If you haven’t run a particular trail before but are willing to lead, we will pre-run that trail with you before the event. Just PM me and we’ll work out the details.

Hey, is anyone going to have an open seat for Saturday? That's the day I'm going to try and make it. I want to ride along on the hard trail, to see how they are. Since they are beyond me and my vehicle capabilties.
