AZ Trails
Hello all,
I am looking for some trails near prescott, AZ.
For a couple friends of mine to go on,
We have mostly stock vehicles so nothing too outrageous, lol
If anyone could give me some ideas that would help alot.
Thanks

Maybe a moderator can move this to the right section.
I would say smiley rock is a fun trail, but it depends. I'd say you need 33's and some sliders?
Prescott has a bunch of trails around it though.
Have you bought any of the 4wd books for the area?

Just bring an axe for all those trees on the trail.

No doubt. Oh wait, I just did.
Welcome to YT.
SOAZTim is on it already I see. There are a couple of good AZ trail books out there, of course the names of which all escape me at the moment.
I lived in Prescott for a few years, but most of my interest in dirt took only 2 wheels to tackle at that time. I'll rack my brain a bit more and see if I can actually add anything more helpful to this post later... other than move it around.

Thank you,
Yes i do have one of the 4x4 trail books, and while I was looking through it, I saw the wickenburg mountain trail, I think thats right. The one with Bradshaw's Grave in it. is this a good trail?

If you are unsure as to what your vehicle can handle, start off with some of the easier ones in your book. Always go with someone else, and get a feel for the ratings.
Once you know the type of trail you enjoy (a level 1 or a level 5) then you can better seek advice from others as to were to go. It can be hard to makes suggestions without knowing your comfort level and ability.
I do know there are a lot of options around Prescott. When the snow goers down a bit, head down Senator towards Crown King. That road is very easy, but there are a lot of spurs going off that can be much harder.
My Dad lives up there and has many routes figured out. I can get some more info from him if you like.

Yes, invest in a good axe for the Prescott area!
Don't be like this fool.
You're near Sedona which has great trails
I haven't done the Bradshaw one yet so I'm not sure.
Do a search on here, virtualjeepclub.com and tacomaterritory.com for that trail. Between those three groups just about every trail in AZ will have a couple pictures and a trip write up.

Also, try trails.com
It will let you print off topo maps of the area and information regarding them.
The second weekend in June I'll be going back to Sedona to run some more trails. Your more than welcome to come along.
