I was thinking 9:30-10:00. Does that work for everyone. Still at work right now, so I won't have a CB....again. Was gonna install it tonight but priorities took over.

Had a blast yesterday with you guys...
I only took a few pictures...and those were of the trip out to the trail head and 87Deathtrap...
Here they are..
To the trail head

87Deathtrap

And a spare starter just incase...and an extra alternator, driveshaft etc,..all who went yesterday came prepared. Though there were a couple of unscheduled stops, they were handled in short order. Great to wheel with guys who come prepared for just about anything. Thanks again guys for a great trip.

Good times yesterday, for the most part. Ended up having a radiator explode on the drive home when I lost a fan belt and my temp guage decided to start keeping secrets! It was a long night!
I didn't get much video with my camera (driving and all), but I did get some of the Firehole.

I paused during Bmxjedi's run, so it's 2 parts.

Good call man! At the end of the night everyone slept in their beds, definately been in worse situations. I still refuse to leave the sleeping bag out of the load plan, even with almost no cargo space. I'll start repairs this weekend, and should be able to get it back on the rocks pretty quick. Might start carrying a spare radiator too!

Me either...but I did tag a long with em' and there is a bypass to this obstacle that's still challenging enough for rig's like our's. It's definitely a fun trail if you're into rocks with a moderate challenge.

yes nate and connor both and everyone else open offer if you need a hand with anything just let me know, you guys are freking nuts but that's what i need to know what kind of rig i actually have, i need to do something with the track bar for sure now, should i just dump it or just shorten it? any ideas i don't want to get hung up on it again that's for sure.

Thanks for the offers for help guys, much appreciated. I should be able to swap out a couple parts this weekend and be back on the trail pretty quick.
On a side note, I somehow missed Punkelburg's post on the previous page, probably because it was the last post on the page, and wanted to bring this to the front. I applaud you sir! Not many guys are willing to go out, on their own accord, without a sponsored event, with the intention of cleaning up trash on public land. Thank you, I wish more in our sport were like you!

I'm going to be ordering a couple NATO jerry cans in the next day or two and figured I'd check to see if there was interest in a group buy. I think I have settled on NOS German military surplus on ebay here (after much too much online research and shopping):

with the following text:
From what I have researched, "new" (even NATO) cans are not the same metal thickness as these true surplus versions. I actually like the idea too of using a siphon versus a nozzle / spout.
NOTE AGAIN: If you want to use a spout, it is not clear if you can get the larger 'German' spout and the standard NATO spout will not work. If you want a spout, you should pass on this.
They are less than $40 shipped and gets only slightly better with volume. Siphon is about $10 I think. The catch for you East Valley'ers is that I live in NW Peoria
Its really only a couple bucks that we save with volume, but I figured I'd throw it out to those on the west or north side of the Valley.
Let me know if anyone is interested.

with the following text:
These 20L Jerry Gas Cans were purchased by our Netherland location from a warehouse of German military surplus.
Features a wide, round opening to dispense fuel, triple handle for easy tie-down, narrow profile, and the level-lock with rubber seal prevents leaks and spills. NOTICE: The standard Nato fuel nozzle will not work with this can because they are to small.
But what we have found that works really great with the cans we use personally and at the shop is a device call a "Safety Siphon". It is safe and will transfer 3 1/2 gallons a minute from the Jerry Can to your car, truck, jeep etc. gas tank.
