Honestly, I have NO idea - I just thought about that as I was typing it. I was hoping to get my friend who has never been wheeling to go with me, but she has something else going on Saturday - If she can go Sunday, would you want to go then? I'm thinking somewhere around one of the other lakes around here, Apache, Canyon or Plesant. I'll have to check my trial books to see what they have in them.

Nice, the east side lakes would be better for me, the less highway I have to drive on the better... My trucks not the smoothest ride, hah

I live pretty close to lk pleasant and there is nothing that I know of that ends up at water. Crown king trail on the west side of the lake and table mesa area on the north east side of the lake. Table mesa has some good wheeling and it's kind of like a park but lots of shooting (LOTS) on the front side. Back side has a river that's dry during some
summers. Trails like terminator are back there. Table mesa area has the most promise in my opinion on the west side. I know it fairly well as I've hunted camped and wheeled there. Its about 15mins north of anthem off I17.

Lake Pleasant is a bust. I used to drive back to a couple different coves, but they blocked the trails with a bunch of old concrete and rocks.

not sure if you've been up there lately, but the Agua Fria is dry as a bone. there is very good/difficult wheeling up there though. I personally prefer driving out through the old minig areas. makes for a decent trip and depending on the route you take, it can get pretty challenging.

trust me, the thought crossed my mind. I figure if they went through all the trouble of blocking off the path, I'd just stay out of there.

On the other hand, I don't recall any signs

I was just in Flag today and they didn't really get much snow (about 2-3 inches on the ground), though it was snowing a little when I was leaving around 4pm. If you want to romp in some snow this weekend check out Show Low and Pinetop, They got 18-24 inches!

Some plans for this weekend are work tomorrow. We have a ton of new orders that came through last weekend and there not slowing down...a lot of emails for product needing to arrive by Christmas...and one very special product thats nearing the end of the fabrication process for a fellow member here. I'll let him post up if he decides to. But with how busy we are, I haven't had a chance to address the issues on my 4Runner yet. So if I squeeze the time in while at work, hopefully I'll be able to get the new rear springs and shocks on. Springs are standard affair OME 891's but the shocks are a custom set up I'd read about up on T4R.org. Any how, others items like BJ's upper and lowers and new front brakes are on the to do list and starting to collect dust. So no wheeling for me till what looks like after the holidays....crap.

Ted,
Work for me tomorrow too. Let me know if you need an extra pair of hands if you ever get a chance to work on your own stuff.

BLKNBLU, totaly appreciated. I've come to learn from my boss that the week after Christmas we turn our attention to our own vehicles to do what ever PM's or fab work that would otherwise get ignored. So I'm thinking a set of slider's and rear swing out tire carrier with bumper are on the agenda during this week...on a side note, he and I made a deal that if I make up a set for his wife's 4Runner, (sliders) he'd cover the cost of materials. I'm still deciding whether or not it's a fair deal. However, my upper shock mount (s) are loose as a goose and make for a very unstable rear end. So they need to be addressed in quick fashion along with the upper/ lower ball joint's. I've had most of the parts in but just haven't been able to pull the time to get em' done. So, if you'd like, I'll throw the invite to you for that week...we'd just have to coordinate time's, etc...

Now as to some sort of run for other's with working rig's......I've heard (rumors) that there might be another Hackberry trip for the 11th.....anyone want to chime in here...(things are looking to be on schedule with completion some time this next week)

If not Hackberry, a run through WoodPecker..??? I had a ton of fun when I went with 87Deathtrap in my 90'...technical and challenging and no breakage or scraped paint. For the record, a stock height 85' on 31's/32's IIRC made it through...it's a little easier if your locked though.

Jeff- I think this would be a good challenge of your skills and your 4Runner...however, I think you'll do just fine, especially with the Detroit out back. GliderAz, this would be a goodn' for you too.

I'm trying to put something together for next weekend. Something not too techincal or too hard. I'm thinking maybe Montana Mountain in Florence. Its right off the 60 a few miles east of 79.

We have a new executive at the office and he just moved here from Chicago this week and he is itching already to get out and see what AZ has to offer. I havn't seen his rig yet but I know its a Jeep on 35's.

If anyone else is interested in going, please let me know - I'll talk it over with him more tomorrow and see what he is down for.

I'm in, might get some new shocks this week. My truck disappointed me on the RTI ramp, shocks maxed out WAY before the coils... So looking into some Bilstiens
