I've decided to part out the 4runner and start fresh. Once again, I want to give the AZ guys first crack at everything. (plus I really don't want to ship)

Let me know if there is anything you need. However, at this point, I'd like to get the front axle sold first as I would like to give that buyer full chioce of anything else that would go with it. (i.e. no diff, ARB diff, lockright diff, hy steer or not, etc)

Thanks,
Mike

how much for the wheels and tires? just curious! why are you parting the rig? are you getting rid of the whole rig or keeping some of it?

I put it on it's side last week and the body is a mess. After considering it, I don't think I want to fiddle with a body swap. I think I can do as well by selling off the desirable bits and starting over with a new plan. So everything is for sale... kinda. I still have it in the back of my mind to save the engine/tranny/bumper/crossmember to put into a different rig if I can find something that is straight with a blown engine. So far all I've found is dead 6cyls and that is also more work than I want in terms of a swap.

I also don't want to sell it piecemeal until I get the first couple big things out of the way. For example, I don't want to sell parts of the front axle until I've given the entire unit a good shot at selling as a whole. Same with the engine/tranny if I decide to sell it.

Also, if anyone has a dead 4cyl rig somewhere, I'm interested.

Lexus rims with the swampers $500. I know thats kinda high but those 16x8 Lexus/LC rims are a fairly hot commodity.

Had a fun run up to Crown King via the main road from I-17 on Sunday. Completely surprised to find 4-6" of snow up top! I forgot how many side-trails there were on the way up, lots of potential fun for crawlers and WAY closer than Flag. for the white stuff!

Mike- My boss might be interested in the front axle as a whole. Text me or PM me for a cost..hub to hub.

Bryan- I hope you feel better soon. Being stuck like that really sucks...as far as the wisdom teeth...a couple years ago I was in the same boat. Pulled on Monday and had to work the rest of the week delivering Uniforms. Kind of a physical job, jumping in and out of a truck for about 6-7 hours a day. Get well soon brother.

A thought just occured to me.

Before I get too far parting it out let me offer it as a whole project. That way if someone else is interested in doing a body swap or turning it into a tube buggy, it's still all together. It still can be driven a reasonable distance and is in one piece.

I'll throw some numbers together.

So I went to work Saturday morning and it was pretty damn cold. We had an install to do so we had to get that taken care of. But after it was all taken care of the three of us decided we weren't feeling like it was a work day at all. After hearing about them both talk about a mudding spot for the last year, I finally told em' to put their money where their mouth was...I was starting to believe it didn't exist. I did take some video, though not the best quality of us doing some 360's. First time I've ever played in mud and the clean up was more than I expected. The neighbor's gave me some funny looks as I cleaned up the 4Runner.

Anyhow, the black truck is the owner of Avid, I'm in the middle and Jimmy is the gray 4Runner. We didn't return to work and in the end, I blew out my power steering pump. It sucked driving home and pulling into the driveway.

OK.

I broke down just the upgrade/add-on stuff for the truck:
F&R lift kits
Straight axle
4.7 t case
2 5.29 diffs, one lockrighted, one ARB'd
Driveshaft work
Trac bar work
Armor

Believe it or not, it all comes to $9085 not counting all the fab work to install the lifts. Cut that in half for $4500.

I'll sell the whole shebang for $5000. So for $500 more you get the balance of the truck. Recently rebuilt 22re, w56 tranny, LCE full exhaust, nearly new aluminum radiator, fairly recent Diehard Platinum battery (AGM type), the Lexus rims, blah blah blah.

anyone want to go to Table Mesa this weekend? I was planning on going to Crown King on the 10th but my heater doesn't work so I've decided against it (unless I can get it fixed by then).

are you ok with guns? We'll probably stop off and kill some clay pigeons along the way.

if you cant find a buyer for your whole rig i would be interested in some parts especially the 4.7 case and drivelines to go with them. Sucks what happened to your truck, whats your plans for the next build?
