2nd set of wheels?

I've been thinking about getting a second set of wheels and just saw these:

and

What do ya think?

I emailed to see if they were still available.

I'm curious as to why the first ones will work, but the second set won't.

Yes, but you're assuming he wants to keep 16" rubber on his truck. Perhaps he's going to be running a second set of rims/rubber for offroading.

Well...maybe he wants smaller calipers and rotors, then, too!

Okay, you win...this round.

True, I do want a second set for wheelin'...and I didn't notice the 15" until after I posted this thread. I have Tundra brakes so there's no way they'll fit. Besides, he's already sold the steelies. Alloys are still up though.

Carl, I would have given you my old rims, same as that first CL post! You're about a year too late though!

In retrospect I would go with the style that Tim has (if you like it). They are usually all over CL for cheap. That way you could grind them up or whatever and never have a problem replacing them. Of course there are lots of the split 3 spoke wheels available too I guess... I just hate that style.

How did the Tundra brake install go? Haven't seen you around here much.

Tim,

come by whenever. I'll pm you my number.

Jon,

The brakes are workin' great. Work has been (and still is) kickin' my a$$. I'm hoping to get my skid mounted soon and get some sliders on. I'm also lookin at the SS 7.2 lift that Steve has up now. And some new tires, probably some bfg m/t in 255/85/16. I'm assuming you got the front locker put in okay?
