Well, I finally got off my butt and did it...

I do most of my posting at work. I can only send e-mail through a secure network there, but I cannot surf the web secure. Had to actually fire up the old relic at home to do it (actually this comp. is nicer than the one at work... I just can't get the wife off long enough to do it).

How do we get our pic on there? Looks like I will be the 1st 1st gen.

As for the rescue... Went off without a hitch (thanks to tacorunner from ODW). Just waiting for my new engine to be completed, and I will be rolling again (hopefully this weekend). Upgrade specs are:
.040 overbore
OS SS valves
engnbldr cam
High Volume oil pump
Metal DS guide timing set
JTOutfitters clutch kit
Used tranny from firemedic on ODW

Can't wait to get this done. Hopefully my battery will not need replacement, since it has been about 6 weeks since it recieved a charge. Guess I have to get the wife to hook up some cables from her van while I am at work.

BTW... When are we going to meet, and in what city? I can only make it on Sundays and holidays, however, as my work schedule sux. Maybe we could make a small wheeling trip out of it, like at Ocala National Forest? I could request a couple days off if I know far enough in advance.

I am part time in Florida visiting family... Ocala, to be exact...

 

Well, I'm new to the site but I'm in Jacksonville FL. I have a newly aquired 1st gen that has a 3inch body lift and sitting on 33x12.5x15's. Not much but it's a start. I'd like to put a new engine in it pretty soon thinking of a L.C engineering long block. Like to hear more about the club when y'all get a chance.-Zach

 

Jacksonville here been looking for club since i moved down from north carolina! i got a 1994 toyota pick up no real mods yet just stock 31x10.50s but i have a intake and chip on the way!

Got a 98 SR5 that stock but i'm trying to get some stuff. Right now saving for new stock length shocks, gonna do a 2.5" Shock spacer lift, 1" body, put some 33 Mud terrains on it. Hopefully gonna customn build me some rock sliders and have them installed hopefulyl by the end of the month.

But yea. i wouldn't mind being apart.
