if worst comes to worst, you could always give one of the people who do have CBs the other 2-way and they can relay messages. Just an idea

If you don't have a CB, don't worry about it too much right now. What we usually do is put those trucks without CBs inside the row of trucks so that there will be vehicles with CBs in front and behind you. If you should need to stop, someone behind you will see and radio it to the rest of the group.

On trips with CORE4x4, we usually stay on Ch. 34 IIRC. Channel 4 tends to get alittle chatty if there are other groups in the area.

Im unfortunately part of the bunch that doest have a CB for now. So I guess cell phone will have to suffice for now.

Is there some place where we all meet up before hitting the trail? some address? Or I noticed Ian (roadrunner) is in fairfax maybe I could meet up with you and follow you down?

There will be 2 meeting points:

1. Wendy's of I-66 in Manassas (probably around 8:00 am and departing for Harrisonburg at 8:30 am)

2. Sheetz on 33, just off I-81 in Harrisonburg at about 10:30 am or so (last minute food purchases and gas).

I'm hoping to get definate meeting times tonight or tomorrow.

JimmyK, do you know where the Penderbrook golf course is? That's where I live. We could meet across in the Fair Oaks Mall parking lot or just meet at Wendy's. Let me know what you would like to do.

It looks like it's going to be a nice day weather-wise.

Great! I know where that wendys is, its the one thats part of that big movie theatre complex right? A Hoyts I think? I havent been there in 2-3 years but I used to stop there before I would start my drive to college @ Vtech (nothing like a #6 spicy chicken to start a long drive off with).

Well Im super excited, ill see you there at 0800.

JimmyK,
Nope doesn't sound like the one we meet at. This Wendy's is just off Exit 47B on I-66 West. Take Exit 47B to 234 (Sudley Road) going North towards the battlefields, get in the left lane and go through one or two traffic lights and turn left on Bullock Drive. As you come off Exit 47B, you'll see the Wendy's up on your left, up alittle hill.

I'll be at the Sheetz in Harrisonburg at 1030 hours on Saturday. It will definitely be a good day since I just got a job offer today! I'm employed again!
