New guy in town
Just wanted to say hi to everyone here. I am the proud owner of a brand new 2004 SR5 v6 4wd with a whopping 1000 miles. Already doing mods (which my fiancee yells at me about, but whatever!). Just wanted to write to see who was around and to get info on any meets you all may set up. My schedule is hectic as I am a Manassas City Police Officer, but I would love to attend any meetings to get ideas for the new truck, and hopefully to get it a little dirty
Later,
Shaun

Shaun,
Welcome to YotaTech. Things have been a little slow over the winter, hopefully we can change that. I believe the member registration page is up and running for online registration at VA4Roc.
I have also been running with the Capital Area Off Road Enthusiasts. I just got voted into CORE in January 2004. CORE is a nice group, anyone interested take a look at the website and come out for a ride. We have a couple of Uwharrie Camping and Trail Runs coming up. We'll have some local day runs too. The next meeting is this Sunday, March 21 in Tysons Corner. Email if you want more info.

I have to back-out of going to Richmond. Since the meet & greet in Richmond was posted, I have been asked by my mom and sister to set-up and cook for the surprise baby shower they are throwing for my wife on March 27. Initially a baby shower wasn't planned, but mom insisted on having a surprise party for her first grandchild.

Hey Dajabr: Yeah...I dont know what I was thinking suggesting that tickets could be taken care of in a way other than due process =)
Are there any "4ROC" stickers (like vinyl) for sale? Are there any trail rides that are available for that a stock 4runner can tackle? Some streams and mud wont hurt, just dont want to get the stocker TOO messed up! One last question...any know of a website that may have a listing of off road trails in the NOVA/DC area?
Thanks.

Shaun,
Most, if not all, the trails CORE runs is open to stock vehicles. Any places that may be a question almost always have a bypass to go around. Most of the trail listings come from various offroad club trail reports. I'll post several links to trail reports and pictures.

Shaun, your profile is on the members page. Since you didn't send a picture I took some artistic liberties with your placeholder. Did you ever work in Peru?

The freakin profile is freakin great! Now if I could get a freakin truck that looked like the freakin picture. (That is a whole lot of freakin right there!)
Now being serious--->Are there any 4Roc stickers for sale anywhere? And if Roadrunner could get a listing of links for trail reports and such that would be sweet.
FYI-I just tried Meguires NXT Wax, new to the market, and it is awesome!!! Never have I seen such shine! Just coat the whole truck with a thin layer, wait 15 minutes, and wipe it off. Plus, it has polymers in it and is not petroleum based, so it will actually seal the paint and not evaporate as the body of the truck gets hot. I bought it at advanced auto parts and it was free after the mail in rebate. What more could you ask for?!?!
