i might be picking up a 91 sas with about 4-5" lift. Where in western washington (seattle area) can i go to get a good front driveline for it? I have heard of people being able to make square driveline with 12" slips for super cheap, but best of all can get up to 60mph without vibrations. I dont really care too much if its square, but i would like something that wont vibrate at higher speeds that isnt going to cost me $850.

 

I forget the name of the place I took mine. Was in Tacoma. I just called several places got prices and asked questions. Went with the place that I thought sounded the best for a good price.

You will want to score a drive shaft first, then have it lengthened with a longslip.

 

my buddy is a really good welder, so i might just have him do it. I was doing some reading and it doesnt look very hard at all. Ill try to get a 85 or before sa drive shaft because i read that the ifs ones allow less of an angle, then just cut off the round tubs and weld square tubes on instead. Of course taking compressed and extended measurements.

 

The IFS shaft can be opened up to 35* angle relatively easy. If you have a donor tcase left over from duals you can easily make a driveshaft jig.

 

I have heard this, but why not just get the 85 if i can find one and if the u joints are in good condition, then it will be one less thing ill have to open up.

If it was a perfect world I'd have the truck I want at the price I can afford to not cry when it gets trail damage till then I'll think outside of the box. Rock on dude.
