Removable top window

I have an 1988 4runner with the removable top with rust around the sliding window, I was looking for a new top but can't find one to save my life. Is it possible to replace the window? If so, where would I find one? The black part around the L bracket is toast....any suggestions?

You can just replace that L bracket. It's just double sided taped on.......

I think the L-bracket he is talking about is the one that rusts out on our 4Runners. The outside metal trim piece on the sliding glass. In that case, its screwed on the window frame not double sided taped. You have to remove the window assembly to access the screws.

Toyotafiberglass.com makes replacement pieces, and you can also find them used.

.....with screws.....whatever. You still have to pop the window out to get to the screws.

You don't haaaaave to. You could always drill some holes in the fiberglass

Wouldn't look very good though. May leak a tiny bit.
