Hey guys lets meet up

Hey fellas, I'm heading out this weekend off of highway 20. I'm gonna snap some pics to see if the trail interests you. I'm all stock on 31s so if I can make it through the snow, everyone should be able to. Maybe we could set something up to head out there?

Steven-
Any idea what day you are planning to run the trail on 20, and where on 20 are you planning to go?
I'm should be open on Sunday, and wouldn't mind hitting a mild trail to get some wheeling time in, if you're looking for some company.
Let me know!

Hey man, Sunday is actually our return date. We're camping at the trail head, in a cabin, Friday night and heading in Saturday morning. We'll be camping as far as we make it Saturday night and then heading back to the road Sunday.
If it was a day trip, totally! But I think we would be heading in opposite directions.

Okay so we ended up going to Texas Hill off of Nyack I think. It's up 80. Great trail however the snow is so incredibly deep! I could only make it so far and even the rigs with 35s were having some trouble. Winches and almost mandatory, every rig used theirs. There is already a trail packed from us but i've heard of two LARGE snow systems coming in early Feb. that will definitely make it impossible to drive. My build thread has some pics and more are coming. https://www.yotatech.com/forums/f199...81/index3.html

I was on that same trail a couple of weeks ago, we broke it. The snow was so dry that it wouldn't pack down so the jeeps were getting stuck then too lol
The only rig that could successfully navigate outside of the tracks (still w/difficulty) had 15" wide 38's.

Kind of disappointing that we can't set anything up
haha Last year I went to Wentworth Springs outside of Georgetown. Fire roads all the way in and a great place to set up camp. You can then head up a few miles to Ellis Creek I believe. Very fun trail, I made it through stock however I would recommend sliders. . . It's a fun place to play around on the rocks, here are some pics. .

I don't know how much snow there is, and the camp site is WAY in there, it's not a simple, "hey let's go check it out, be back in 2 hours honey. . " It's a good 1.5 hour drive one way with dry pavement, so if we were to go in, we would be gambling the conditions unless someone checked it out. .

I can't believe it's been so long since we've all wheeled. I doubt they'll have Squaw Ridge open this summer, thanks to the dumb lawsuit. Hopefully we can figure something else out, but I'm in for a quick trip here in the winter if anyone plans anything.

Well you valley folk have better options to trails. . Up here, the trails are either too difficult or too easy and not long enough. Not much snow to trek through either so there are no challenges. I myself am a terrible trip planner so hopefully someone can organize something

We definitely need to look into doing something this Spring. I've been out wheeling a few times, but all of them by myself, and on trails I shouldn't have been out on my own in (in some cases), *lol*.
What does everyone's April look like?

And Stew, sounds like you know the condition of most of those trails around there. Were counting on you to let us know when the USFS starts opening gates up again for the spring!

Don't be surprised if I let you all down
You have been FAIR WARNED! ahaha
Yea I was looking at the Squaw Ridge pics on MaKs build thread and that trail looks awesome, not too easy but not too difficult! I'll keep my eye out, with the way winter has been, i'm sure everything will be dry here in two months, that is if it doesn't snow again.
