I love the idea, Tim. Can't wait to see the testing vids/pics. These are going in the IFS vs SAS rig in 4WDTO, right?

As far as the price, here's my opinion. There are a ton of LT rigs out there, already built and paid for, just waiting for your axle upgrade. These people had no problem spending $5k on their Caddy kits with coil overs, and will have no problem spending the cash on the built axles either. Sure they may not be for the budget builder, but there are plenty of wheelers outside that demographic. Not to mention, the direction of the sport is leading heavily in the IFS direction.

Keep up the good work.

ifs and hardcore should never be used in the same sentence.

those axles are a good idea but as said above many times, the price is steep.
ive wheeled ifs for years and broke way more r&p's than cv's, and those axles are just going to make r&p failure happen more often. whats easier to replace, r&p or a cv? that being said, if the price were to come down i think people would pay for them. even though sas can be done RIGHT for way less than the infamous 4k price tag that web wheelers put on it, not everyone want's, or needs, or can perform the sas swap for a decent price. i think that these axles may be a good option for them, and the "dual sport" crowd. plus they look sexy

I see you point of the stock one breaking!! And if you wheeling with you buddys and it does break they wont care because that part of wheeling....Thats like going mudding and saying you dont wanna get stuck, kinda takes the fun out of it haha!!!! im not knocking your product because it is a good idea but i am knocking the price!!!

I would think so tim. if you have not been to the rubicon before. you should take your LT runner to the sluice. Keep me informed if you do, i have two vid cams to catch it from two angles.

Tim,

I know a $69 spare is a lame solution..... but its better than nothing! And we have had the conversation before, I am not a trail guy or rock crawler, I am into pre-running and chase. I like the desert and much of the time I am in 2WD. However, I am starting to build my 1986 4 Runner for the trail. Unfortunately it won't be ready for the Marlin trip this year like I had hoped. But, I am probably going to make it this year as a spotter for James 1992 SAS 4 Runner. I hope you bring your 4 Runner. I am confident it will do well. The Big Sluice is probably something you will want to avoid. I spent half a day watching the exreme rigs attempt it last year and only saw one rock buggy make it. It broke many parts and even rolled a few rigs. Good carnage location. If your 4 Runner makes it I will shave my head!

Waiting for the longer center bars took a few weeks more than we hoped, but as of 11am we now have the most badass Toyota CV assemblies in the world!

It is going to be hard to concentrate on working today with these puppies waiting to be installed!
