Pre 84 Pickup Headlight Conversion
Are you tired of driving down the road with the DIM factory headlights.
you know the ones that im talking about.
The old style Halogens, that emit a yellow, darkish color light.
If you are, you are in luck with the HEADLIGHT CONVERSION.
With this set up, you will go from the sealed glass lights to a nice set up.
It will have the replacement Headlight housing that is a durable plastic.
The bulb is switched to a H4 style bulb that is replaceable.
There is 2 different style bulbs that you can go with.
You can go with the regular H4 Halogen style bulb, this is going to be a little bright than what you have now.
Or you can upgrade that to the Vision X H4 bulb, this bulb is a step down from a HID..
With this your night driving problems are solved.
Less strain on your eyes as you are driving down some old 2 lane highway in the middle of nowhere. Or if you are like the guys here at LC, Some old dirt road or up in the mountains..
Check this out and let me know what you gentleman think..
Here are the links for you guys.
The 1st is the Regular H4 bulb
The 2nd is with the Vision X H4 bulb

Not a problem. I know out here in the Desert with the Dim lights. It makes seeing the road hard, let alone the wild Burros that would destroy the rig.
The Conversion is a good thing makes everything a lot more visible

I love LCE's products and I spent tons of money on late nights browsing the LCE website and I get that you're trying to put your products out there, but this section of the forum is for tech support and questions. These threads should be started in the Vendor advertising section, not the tech section. Here's the correct section for these posts:
https://www.yotatech.com/forums/f37/
On another note, the LCE website has the headlight conversions listed for 79-83 pickups with a picture of round headlights (it know the picture is for "illustration purposes only); however, 82 and 83 Pickups had square headlights. And as far as I can see, there is no option to indicate whether the customer is trying to order round or square H4 conversions on the website - basically, you might want to clarify 79-81 round headlight conversions and 82-83 square headlight conversions as they are not interchangeable between those years.

And also if anyone does this for pre-79s!
Of course with four headlights, it would get pricey...
I'm going to be driving through Lake Havasu City in the next couple days...

We are working on adding the pre 81 Headlight Kit on to the website now.
It will be the set with all 4 lights, the highs and the lows.
We will have the 2 different kits as well..
The standard Halogen and the Upgrades H4 Xenon Bulb
Sorry for not clarifying the different headlights.

I put a set of Rampage's in my 04 Rubicon, which according to the LCE website is what these are. I love them! Honestly, it was like the difference between night and day going from the old style bulbs to the new setup. The housings on the new light were aluminum with a glass lens, really sturdy. Not trying to knock this company, but the bulbs that come with the kit are not that good. Get some decent bulbs and throw in the housings and you've got more than enough light for driving at night. On a Jeep, you've got tons of options for upgrading the light harness for higher power lights. I'm not sure my little truck can handle that considering the smaller alternator and 33 year old wiring. It may be a fire hazard in the making.
Not sure why I never considered putting these in my little truck, but I think this will be the next thing I get!

They are a good thing to have on those rigs, makes driving at night ten fold better.
It shouldn't put to much strain on the factory alternator. The draw off of these isn't all that much. If it is look into up-grading into a higher amp alternator kit.
Also with the Headlight kits there are the 2 options, regular Halogens and than there is the Bright White Vision X Headlight Bulbs that we can get you as well.
I know with the trucks that we have put them on, are having no problems with the alternator. I got a guy that has enough lights on his truck to light up the the moon at night haha. And all that he is using is a High Amp Alternator.
