I hate to be a pain, and appreciate the help, I need to move quick on this..

did they make an e locker or other locker in a 4 runner with 4:10's???

If it says RR DIFF LOCK by the steering wheel then it is the e-locker. I like the gear chart Steve has on his website:

http://fastq.com/~sschaefer/Toyota_axle_codes.html

and I found this on J.A.'s 4Runner History site:

"4.300 w/ optional P265/70R 16 tire package

and all models with locking rear differential "

1998 only came with the e-locker to the best of my knowledge.

How much do they want for it?

got mine apart tonight

found the axle bearings at the local store for 60 bucks each

going to order the power trax tomorrow

all else looks fine on the rear end in my truck, ring and pinion is nice, but the axle bearings/wheel bearings at the end of the axle tubes,,where the axles bolt in

COMPLETE junk, like you wouldnt believe how they are falling apart,,one side if you have the axle sitting on the ground, you can move it 2 inches either way independent of the backing plate,,,i will also replace the outer axle bearing on the other side (driver side) which is also a little noisy

has anyone installed a power trax? was installation easy?
