Post Winches for ARB Bull bar

I've been lookin all over the internet to try and find a list of winches that fit in the ARB Bull bar. I want a milemarker hydraulic, but if it doesnt fit i'll have to change my plans. If anyone knows where i can find this info let me know

Good luck with a hydro winch.
Try a search here on the site and over at Pirate.
From what I have read, the Toyota power steering pump does not put out enough PSI to power that type of winch.

Those winches are also useless if your motor will not start such as being hydrolocked in a stream.

Electric winches such as Warn rule.
I am running a Warn XD 9000.

My electrical system is alot weaker than my power steering. I would need to get the big version of the optima yellow top and a 90A alternator upgrade at a minimum to run an electric. Electric is useless if you dont have the juice. (and i dont)

That is strange.
I am running the stock alternator and an Optima red top clone made for Les Schwab tires.

The battery is around 5 years old or more too.
Never had a problem using the winch with it, and that was with the rigs engine shut off.

Check out a few vids from three years back.

Not true. The red top is perfect. The yellow top is ideal for daul setups. You may be onto something with the alternator but my winch runs fine with the stock alternator.

i've been through 5 alternators. none of them can handle anything more than stock electical system load. as of right now i dont have anything that sucks major juice on my truck, and its holding up ok.

I haven't had a problem yet with my set-up, stock 60 amp alt, Warn m8000, and an Optima bluetop.

Well, i suppose im just unlucky. Nonetheless, if i can i'll prolly go with the hydro winch simply from past experience with my electric system. if the psp cant handle it, i can always sell it and get something else i guess...or figure out some other way to make it work.
