winch solenoid relocation

Question winch solenoid relocation

I want to mount my m-8000 solenoid pack in the engine compartment. I know I will have to extend the lines that run from the winch to the pack they are sae #2 WIRE, can #4 or #1 be used Im having trouble finding precut #2 w/ the ends I need.

Yeah, I have seen steve's setup in the past I was more interested in finding out what guage wires are suitable for extending the solenoids.

I had mine in the same location as Steve has his, I used 2ga welding wire. You can get a tool to crimp the ends for a few bucks, uses a hammer to do the work. Here's what it looks like: http://www.wranglernw.com/commerce/full/38-101.jpg

I ended up finding 2 ga precut starter wire with ends attatched. Will try relocation tomorrow.
