waterproofing the electrical

i have a 90 4 runner . how do i waterproof the distributer and coil?

Why?

Air intake is lower than those, if you get in that deep, you're motor shopping (assuming you don't have a snorkel).

Best advice is not get in water that deep.

i had a bent hood on a older yota that i crashed years ago and everytime it rained it would stall because of the distributor and coil getting flooded...... my dad told me to put some grease on the wire plug and around the base of the distributor cap and i'll be damned if that did'nt fix it. but tc is right if you are going that deep i hope you work for a motor distributor
