typically, my rule of thumb is as wabbits, put a 1/2" spacer between the main tube and the pinch weld with the tube directly beneath the pinch weld. then rotate the slider up as high as you can get it and still have the same 1/2" gap between an open door and the slider

I like to keep the end of my sliders 1-2" inside the outer edge of the tires:

And the center just a bit wider than the body panels:


Keeps the truck relatively narrow for squeezing around/between trail obstacles.

I decided to use some extra big washers on the back side to help keep from crushing the frame:

Nice slider install!! I think mine and yours came out about the same!







My sliders have taken an absolute beating and haven't moved 1/4". It's also funny to see pictures of my 4Runner when it was stock

Marlin sliders that I got on sale for $99 a couple of years ago

Same design, tough sliders!!
