Toyota axle question

Sorry if this has been covered I searched and didn't find the answer. I am new to the Toyota world. Are all Toyota axles 8"? will all thirds interchange?
My local bone yard just got a newer Yota 4runner 6cyl, IFS, Auto, Nice looking runner not sure of year however is there any can't live without parts on there I might want to grab before it goes to the crusher? Will the thirds fit my 85 Toyota SR5? Thanks

The like wabbit is referring to:

When you say "newer" - what do you mean? If you mean pre-Tacoma, then yes, any rear third will fit in either your front or rear housing. Obviously the front is IFS and will do you no good on your SFA rig.

Third generation 4Runners (1996-2000) will work too, as will the elocker unit from Tacomas (some modification to your housing required, link in the link above).

The FRONT diff out of 80-series Landcruisers will work, including the high pinion version.

The hot setup IMHO is a HP elocker third in front and a elocker or ARB equipped V6 third in the rear.
